Jade (2009)

Amanda McCoy is a talented Nashville based singer, songwriter, bassist, guitarist and all around bad-ass chick! Not only does she write, sing and play her own original material but she also performs and tours with many other artists and bands including Pavlov’s Dog, Kevin Skinner, Tristen Smith and the progressive rock band Zasz, just to name a few.

I’ve had the privilege to add drum and percussion parts to two of Amanda’s releases.

On her 2009 EP, Jade, I played on tracks:

1. Lacerate
4. Farewell to Yesterday
5. 61 Strands
6. Jade
8. Jazz Precision (5+4)

On her 2013 LP release, The Hurt, I played on tracks:

2. Into Blue
5. Winter White
8. Sweet Boy
11. Stillwell’s Flight
12. The Hurt
13. Pieris

One exciting tidbit for me about Amanda’s album, The Hurt is that I shared drumming duties on the album with the great Kenny Aronoff. I think it’s pretty cool to have my name on an album next to a drummer who I grew up listening and playing along to…learning his licks and emulating them…! I am very proud of my work on the album and I think my tracks hold up well next to Kenny’s.

I had so much fun working with Amanda on her albums and I can’t wait to lay down some more tracks for her next release!
